Oh my gosh, there are so many trains.
Just today, my excursion group took 16 trains. There were two excursion groups– one stayed in Tokyo and went to Ueno Park, a Belly Button Festival (it’s real…look it up!), and/or a sumo match. I hear through the grapevine that the Tokyo group rode swan rides and went swimming at a municipal pool.
My group, on the other hand, went to Yokohama via the many-train system of Japan. We spent time in a mall, went to an amusement park, the Momofuku Ando Instant Ramen Museum – a museum dedicated to instant noodles and Cup Noodles, as well as its creator and founder, Momofuku Ando. My friend, Bennett, went to a shrine solely dedicated to the anime, Free! I also bought two Re-Ment boxes– these are miniature sets that are hard to find in the states.
But back to the subject at hand: Trains. After the mall, we got back on a few more trains. When we surfaced, we were at an amusement park.
