Culture Exchange and our last days in Tokyo

This week was full of energy, connection, and moments that brought us closer. We started with a wonderful Cultural Exchange at Hiroo High School.  From 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., our students spent the day at Hiroo High School, a prestigious private high school in central Tokyo. When we arrived, many Japanese students were interested to share their lives with our students.

Dawoud & Nonoka talking for the first time, a beginning of a wonderful friendship

It was unforgettable. Through games, group activities, guides around the institution, participating in some extra cultural classes and heartfelt conversations, we discovered how much we share, and how much we can learn from each other.

It wasn’t just an exchange of languages — it was an exchange of smiles, ideas, and perspectives.

On Wednesday, we had a picnic dinner in a park near our residence. We had dinner, listened to music and played sports until it got dark.

Whether in the classroom or out exploring, our students keep showing up with curiosity and courage. From discovering neighborhood cafés to practicing Japanese with locals, every outing is another step in this beautiful journey.

Now that final projects are approaching, a new kind of energy is in the air — one of focus, creativity, and determination. Students are working hard, sketching, rehearsing, and building their presentations with care.

The Business seminar at the Tokyo stock exchange

We are mixing hard work with useful seminar visits in Tokyo and beyond.

The Fashion + Culture seminar visited an exhibition of textile works created using mud mineral dyes.

There’s a quiet strength in how they balance discipline with joy — and how they make space for both learning and friendship, every single day.

The days are flying by, but the stories are piling up.
Stay with us — next up: our last weekend adventures, final presentations, and the goodbyes we wish we didn’t have to say.
