With most of our second week in Tokyo behind us, we maintained pace, and kept energies and spirits high! Each day in Tokyo is is an education both in and outside the classroom, with an opportunity for us to continue to strengthen our bonds with one another while learning more about ourselves. As such, this past week saw a mixture of in-the-class and out-in-the-field learning environments. Here are some examples of some of our seminar lessons last Friday.
The Business and Trade Seminar started the day off with talks about sales management. Later, they formed teams and began in-class exercises to get a taste of real world negotiations.

The Photography Seminar focused on practicing and perfecting portraiture in Sunamachi Ginza, a famous shopping district, followed by an exciting and action packed exploration of the Adachi Fish Market!

And here are some photos from our photo students who had special backstage access at the fish market. They saw how the fish market really works away from the tourist crowds.
The Technology and Innovation Seminar started their Friday off with an in-class lecture before heading out to the 21_21 Design Sight Museum for the opening day of it’s newest exhibit: What If? Bosai: The Next Disaster, an exhibit on disaster preparation and security. Japan is a country with one of the highest amounts of natural disasters including earthquakes, typhoons, and more. This has led to a need for innovative and effective approaches to preparation in the case of such events.

Stay tuned for more updates from our action-packed weekend and day trip to Hakone yesterday!
